What You Can Do To Help

Give

“The measure of love is to love without measure”

Your generous HEART supports LIFE

We totally depend on the generosity of others who want to make sure every parent that has chosen LIFE has everything they need to take care of their child – from the prenatal stage through preschool age.

We are equally dedicated to serving families by “doing small things with great love” and also being good stewards of your monetary support. We are committed to not replicating programs/services which needy parents can obtain elsewhere, ensuring families are not receiving duplicated support with other agencies, and being solely staffed by truly devoted volunteers.

Who Needs the Most Help?

Our teen parents continue to be our highest priority because they usually have nowhere else to turn to for assistance and we want them to achieve goals towards self-sufficiency.  If you can give a recurring donation, in any amount, it will help our youngest, most vulnerable families be able to secure stable housing, complete an education, keep their children safe and healthy, and lead them to employment.

Two generations are lifted out of poverty at the same time!

Contact us for more information about how to increase your support with:

  • an employer matching gifts program
  • your membership in a club or civic group
  • your church group/ministry
  • a personal online fundraising effort
  • a collection or drive for essential items
  • designate your rewards (i.e. Amazon Smile, Fred Meyer, Office Max, Bottle Drop)

Donations We Can Accept

Most Frequently Requested by Families

  • Child Consumable Items (wipes, diapers, pull-ups, pacifiers, baby bottles, sippy cups, )
  • Adult Consumable Items (toilet paper, all-purpose cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, disinfecting wipes )
  • Personal hygiene items (i.e. shampoo, body wash, liquid soap, toothpaste, washcloths, deodorant)
  • Child Clothing – Sizes NB-5T (new and clean/gently-used)
  • Adult Clothing – all sizes/genders (basic knit shirts, underwear, PJs/sweatpants)
  • Non-perishable foods (for on-the go parents, babies and toddlers)

Request a ready-made list (PDF) for a group interested in sponsoring a collection of essential items.

Donations We Cannot Accept

Due to liability insurance limitations, product safety recalls and sanitation concerns – in general, we cannot accept any USED equipment that a baby/child would sit or sleep in.

Also, no items are accepted which potentially have had any bodily fluids/waste on them.

All items must be smoke-free and pet-free.

We do not give out blankets for any child under the age of 18 months old, due to risks of SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome).  No knit or crocheted blankets, please.

Our families do not need baby food – it is plentiful from other agencies/resources.

Lots of Little Things Add Up to BIG Help!

COVID Mandates and Updates  – Our Outreach Office workspaces are small or set-up to work in pairs/teams.  At this time, to maintain safe social-distancing, we can only have 3 persons per 2-4 hr. shifts working solo in 3 different locations.  If you would like to sort/package donations, address/stuff envelopes, answer the phone, gather essential items for families, re-stock supplies, enter data into our Excel spreadsheets, or even learn how to make diaper cakes – please contact us. BACKGROUND CHECKS are mandatory. Now, masks and gloves required.

Become a Visitation Volunteer – Due to the level of training needed and the ride-along experience gained by going out into the community in pairs, plus the social contact risks associated with this service work, our recruitment for these volunteers is temporarily suspended. If you can do any of the other tasks above, it would really help!

Made With Love!

If you are able to sew items from home, we have a list (along with directions/measurements) for nursing cover-ups, washable nursing pads, burp cloths,  tummy-time floor pads, toddler blankets/pillowcases, hooded bath towels, fleece car seat coverlets and more….Our families LOVE getting things MADE WITH LOVE!
